Rachel is a farmer’s daughter from Hampshire. In her early teens she started helping maintain the farm records,gaining valuable experience in business management. After completing her education, she attended the local Farm College to study as a Farm Secretary. This intensive course included all aspects of secretarial work and manual bookkeeping. As well as qualifying with Credits she was honoured to be awarded the college wide Challenge Cup for Good Endeavour at the end of the year.

She started work as a bookkeeper/PA for a small construction company and worked as a part-time bookkeeper while her family were young. Soon she commenced full-time employment, working for well known companies such as BTR, Lansing Linde and Alstom and finally Boots.

With her background in business finance and administration, Rachel has become an expert, providing invaluable support to business owners across a wide range of sectors.

James Roden

Technical Director

As IT Director,Jim works hard to keep the website current, assists in the preparation of those marketing emails, and designs and produces our literature. He also assists the team with all IT issues, including data security.

He loves photography, and ran his own wedding photography business for 20 year. Now he concentrates more on landscapes and photographs of family and friends.

When not working hard to keep the wheels of commerce turning, he enjoys spending time with his 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren!

Senior Bookkeeper

Lynn is our Senior Bookkeeper and joined us late in 2015, bringing specialist knowledge in the catering & hospitality field where she worked for over 10 years prior to joining the company.

At Napier University Lynn specialised in Accountancy as her core subject, where she obtained an BA Hons Commerce Degree. She provides our clients with the Management Information they need to make informed business decisions, and looks after the team on a daily basis. Lynn is also a Xero Advisor and champions work within the hospitality industry.

When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons, cycling around the many routes within the Falkirk area and ice skating when the opportunity arises.

Bookkeeping Assistant

Andy comes from a Purchase Ledger and Budget Control background and joined Roden Associates in early 2016. He is our Credit Control Champion: making our clients lives easier, and saving them money by keeping that cash coming in.

He has qualified as a Xero Advisor and is our Excel Expert, providing assistance to clients and the team.

When not working Andy loves spending time with family. He enjoys cycling and is a keen open-water swimmer, regularly involved in charity events.
